Der kanadische Schriftsteller John Ralston SAUL verweist in
seinem neuesten Buch 'A Fair Country' auf die Unfaehigkeit
der Eliten die Krise richtig anzugehen.

Er bezeichnet diese als 'The Castrati'.

Aber die Schuld trifft nicht nur die Business Elites sondern
auch den Einzelnen. Auszug:

'I am talking about the desire for risk, desire to own, desire
to lead - to be a real business elite, not simply managers and
employees.

Once you no longer have the ownership, you loose the creative
space and the energy, you become a passive rather than active
factor.

Die Globalisierung ansprechend: 'This isn't about patriotism,
it's about using the marketplace properly. Really, if you
believe in capitalism why would you be an employee?'

Das Versagen der Eliten, oder Castrati, datiert SAUL auf die
Mitte bis Ende der 70-iger Jahre. In Deutschland war dies die
selige Zeit der Brandt-Scheel Regierung, die die Aufschuldung
so richtig in Schwung brachte.
