The original linked article was filled with hype and a few deceptive characterizations (conflating density with weight, for example). This is a better description here: https://phys.org/news/2018-12-frozen-copper-noble-metal-catalysis.html and provides a link to the original peer reviewed journal article, which is stuffed with information. In summary, this is an interesting development for high surface area catalysts and that's it.
